Biography

Painter, designer, engraver and teacher, Gerhard has developed since the 1960s a multimedia research that ranged from large installations to collages and films. Gerhard came to art through the british pop-art road. His collages acted as a sort of newspaper / mosaic of everyday events where everything was superimposed-the social, the texts, the publicity, the detritus of the urban reality of that era. Such a procedure has subsequently expanded to his 8mm films and installations. ...
