Dee Ferris’s paintings depict misty glimpses of her subjects, recognition of which is entirely dependent upon the viewer. Ambivalent abstraction of shadows and blurry outlines of familiar and unfamiliar landscapes create a quiet, subconscious communication between the painting and the audience.
