Joe Andoe

Joe Andoe’s body of work includes paintings, drawings, videos, and writings. His figurative painting is almost exclusively monochrome. He uses a reductive technique where he covers the entire canvas with thick black oil paint and then wipes it off with his hands or a paper towel, bringing images out of the darkness.
