Nabil Azab employs drawing, painting, writing, and research to create abstract photographic works that challenge the objectivity and disciplinary boundaries of the medium in contemporary society. His photographic works are distinguished by their distorted compositions and interplay of vibrant colors, conveying intense emotions and an element of ambiguity that eludes a fixed interpretation. They evoke the lingering impression of a vivid dream that permeates into one's conscious moments and possesses a universal quality that transcends specific meanings. Rather than merely portraying specific fragments of the past, Azab's images function as conduits for the affective resonances captured in their initial creation. By allowing these resonances to accumulate and overflow into the present, the softened contours of the images become a vessel for a range of emotions and frequencies.
