The calligraphic marks made by Pouran Jinchi, rendered with ink onto canvas, are like colourful falling – or fallen – leaves, or fruit dropping from an invisible tree, or perhaps even charred remnants and detritus flickering through the air, landing in a heap, a vibrant mass.
