Fur, leather, scents, metal, flowers, latex, skin cells, clothing, steel pipes... all sorts of materials are found in Quay Quinn Wolf's artworks, which are at once firm and supple, light and dark, loose and structured. Although these materials are juxtaposed - from the durable to the ephemeral - Wolf's art finds and creates a strong balance between them. Ultimately, the material tensions with which the artist plays become futuristic, creating a framework for the search for renewal in our constant ravages of time. In his sculptures and paintings, traditionally understood masculine and feminine energies are brought together and, as one immerses oneself in his work, they gradually become emotionally intense.
