After studying architecture, Wolfgang Matuschek went on to study sculpture and painting. Matuschek's drawings, with their rigorous lines inherited from the techniques of architectural drawing, are full of insights. They are often made of fantastical geometries, steeped in enigmatic detail, but applied with such extreme sensitivity that it's hard to put them down once you've seen them. The drawings represent either a vanished world or the artist's fascination for the creation process of fictional characters.
