Yves Scherer has a large body of work in a variety of media: sculptures in 3D printed aluminium or pink onyx, stylised paintings, lenticular photographs and other mixed media make up his portfolio. It is largely thanks to this variability of materials that the artist has, over time, developed the ability to oscillate between gravity and lightness, transcending the everyday. Blending autobiography, collective memory and fan fiction, Scherer explores themes of identity, love and desire, or the human figure and its representation. His work blurs the boundaries between reality and virtuality, giving form to intangible memories and the emotions they contain.
