Zinkpè's paintings follow tortuous paths where the figures, halfway between human and animal, evoke games of power, masquerade or sex, no doubt alluding to the human comedy. His unique style is recognisable on canvas: intimate, powerful and provocative. As for his sculptures, they are sometimes made of rolled-up hessian and sometimes of small wooden figures fused together.
