About Pablo Accinelli
Through an investigation into the practical and theoretical relationship between objects and tools, and an inquiry into the very nature of their functionality, Pablo Accinelli picks apart the understanding of labour and the implements of its performance. In his installations, Accinelli appropriates and subverts familiar household objects, such as spirit levels, paperclips or padlocks, all of which hold symbolic importance beyond their function and spatiality. They signify specific external environments and remark upon capitalism, the toll of physical labour or the durational process of waiting. As is the role of the objects, Accinelli’s arrangement is meticulous and measured, creating a metered poeticism through arrangement and order.
