Amanda Baldwin

Amanda Baldwin is an American painter who currently lives and works in Queens, NY. Reworking familiar subjects from art history, such as landscapes and the still life, Baldwin’s painterly register transforms these readily recognisable motifs into otherworldly, enchanting tableaux. Mixing and layering different tropes and textures, flower compositions are collaged with mountain vistas, fields, or fruit bowls, with each canvas hosting lush, luminous hues of blues, purples, and greens.
