Jorge Satorre

Through manual processes and experimentation with different materials, Jorge Satorre’s work has developed as a series of responses for the traces of history that have been excluded from hegemonic versions. Through various contexts to which the artist relates, his work vindicates apparently non-representative opinions to ultimately reveal a subaltern truth. Satorre often collaborates with specialists from different fields such as historians, geologists, writers or other artists who contribute to determine the specificity of each project in which drawing is typically the main medium.
