Eva Diallo's visual narratives develop around an aesthetic of fragments and anecdotes. The artist evolves on the margins of the subject, capturing moments and details which contribute to a sensitive understanding of aesthetic issues. Faced with the question of how to represent an experience as complex as that of migration, Eva Diallo chooses to evolve on the border between art and documentary. His serial work weaves networks of meaning which echo from one work to another and which require us to take the time to read what we see. To the hasty consumption of images often generated around these current topics, Eva Diallo prefers the poetic exercise of deciphering as an incitement to the imagination, the only one capable of grasping with richness and far from clichés, the multiple facets of our contemporary experiences.
