Adegboyega Adesina’s portraiture looks inwardly, his intimate depictions of Black subjects incorporate rich colour schemes and capture the essence of his figures’ selfhoods. Adesina’s practice draws on his Nigerian background, examining it through a multi-layered and deeply personal lens.
