Thibault Hiss

Using objects, spare parts and industrial materials, Thibault Hiss works with gestures that these materials allow him. The materials bend, fit together, wedge and support each other, both mechanically and manually. In arrangements made from salvaged materials or produced by 3D printers, some components of everyday life and animal figures are recognisable. The objects he uses fit together unexpectedly, creating a pure assemblage of many components, bringing in light disturbing conjectures.
