Alexandra Hammond

Alexandra Hammond is a transdisciplinary land artist based in New York City. Her work spans painting, film, installation and interaction, her work digests received categories such as human and nature, background and foreground, individual and ecosystem, acknowledging the agency of all beings and materials to transform extractive capitalisms into systems that support our life world. Hammond works with the possibility of symbols, which, like the desire line of a ribbon or the body of a snake, are the circulatory system of the earth. She is a member of the Beverly’s Artist Board and shows her work internationally.
