Larry Amponsah

Multi-media artist Larry Amponsah collects photos, archival images, conversations, and reflections from diverse cultures and makes collages out of them. These collages combine a variety of creative strategies, from physical collage and painting to digital manipulation and new printing techniques. In his artworks, floral environments can be depicted that enrich the narratives and the psychological landscape of the work’s protagonist. In so doing, Amponsah aims to highlight, re-interrogate, and transcend questions of identity, the politics of representation, and systems of power.
