Zheng Mahler

Formed by artist Royce Ng and anthropologist Daisy Bisenieks, Zheng Mahler (est. 2009, based on Lantau Island, Hong Kong) creates digital media, objects, and performance works, grounding their practice in long term, research-based projects. Examining the broader interactions between nature and technology, Zheng Mahler engage in speculative encounters—such as a city’s memory wiped out by a nostalgia algorithm—and interspecies empathy, with a focus on more than human experiences.
