Mohammed Bourouissa new solo exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo
Mohamed Bourouissa's artistic endeavors are rooted in a profound exploration of intimate experiences that resonate with themes of confinement, identity representation, linguistic control, and resistance. Through his work, he delves into the complexities of imprisonment, both physical and ideological.
This new exhibition curated by Hugo Vitrani will be the first comprehensive retrospective of the artist in France, showcasing early as well as more recents pieces alongside creations by artists to whom he is close such as Christelle Oyiri, Ibrahim Meïté Sikely, Neïla Czermak Ichti, Abdelmajid Mehdi, Collectif Hawaf, LILA.
The exhibition is conceived as a score made up of sounds, drawings, photographs, films, sculptures, watercolours, plants, experimental music and collective energies.
