Atefeh Majidi Nezhad
Biography
Translating architectural memory into poetic visual language, Atefeh Majidi Nezhad reimagines built space as an emotional and psychological landscape. Using drawing and monoprint techniques, she reconstructs domes, arches, and interiors with a meticulous inking process that allows textures and forms to surface through controlled unpredictability. Her compositions oscillate between presence and absence—walls, corridors, and light sources emerge and recede, echoing the fluid nature of perception and recollection. Often working in series, she explores how space is experienced through movement, memory, and layered observation. The resulting works balance architectural clarity with expressive delicacy, capturing the tension between structure and impermanence. Majidi Nezhad’s practice shifts architecture from static form to intimate terrain. Her images evoke interiority not just in a physical sense, but as a reflection of inner states—where formal elements become vessels for emotion, and spatial fragments suggest larger narratives of time, presence, and identity. ...
