Iván Argote

Film director and artist Iván Argote concentrates his practice on a questioning of the intimacy present in our relationships between other people, institutions, power, and belief. He achieves this through the production of film, sculpture, installation, and intervention. The stratagems he cultivates are drawn from the notions of tenderness, affect and humour, through which he proposes critical approaches to dismantling and decentralising the prevailing histories.
