Biography

Julia Long (b.1984, Chongqing, China) is an artist currently living and working in Beijing. She holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Georgia, where she majored in America History. Since 2010, Julia has contributed articles and interviews about American history, culture, art, and food for popular Chinese magazines, including GQ China, One Way Reading, T Magazine China, Esquire China, Oriental Historical Review, Weissen, Yueshi Epicure, Sanlian Lifeweek, Life Magazine, and etc. Meanwhile, she created illustrations for GQ China, T Magazine China, Economic Observer, Modern Weekly, Sanlian Lifeweek, Life Magazine China, Bloomberg Businessweek, National Geography Traveller, The Art Newspaper China, Grazia, One Way Reading, etc. Selected solo exhibitions include: Provisional Emotions, Tabula Rasa Gallery (Beijing, 2021); Meanwhile, Tabula Rasa Gallery (Beijing, 2019); One Eighth of the Narrative, Tabula Rasa Gallery (Beijing, 2017); Serendipity, UNdefine (Shanghai, 2014); just to name a few. ...
