Kevin Desbouis

Kevin Desbouis is an artist born in Decize (Nièvre, France) in 1993. The abstract relationship between body, economy, perversion and repression is a fundamental parameter of his work — as are various forms of reconditioning, intensity and deceptivity. His practice is built around situations and installations that evoke dysfunctional relationships to entertainment or moral dilemmas. Kevin Desbouis is also the editor of Suckcess, a magazine and artist's book initiated in 2022 and constituting a collective investigation into notions of success, self-staging and compromise.
