Biography
Lucía Pizzani’s expressive practice centers on the body and self, deeply informed by materiality and ecological awareness. A core focus of her work is the interrelationship between narratives of women in history and processes of metamorphosis in the natural world. Working across photography, ceramics, video, drawing, performance, and installation, she creates hybrid, layered works that invite multiple readings beyond fixed temporality. Her artistic process often draws from her physical environment, incorporating natural and found materials gathered during residencies and travels. This practice reflects her life-long experience of movement and displacement between Europe, North America, and Venezuela. From her London studio, Pizzani blends stories and materials from diverse territories, navigating distance and belonging through syncretic and research-driven production.
