Biography

Through humour, seduction, confusion and absurdity, Buenos Aires-born, New York-based artist Mika Rottenberg explores notions of labour, production, global economy and hyper-capitalist existence. Describing her work as “social surrealism” and drawing inspiration from Marxist theory, the artist eschews images and narratives to avoid normative logic and to reveal reality as being stranger than fiction. ...
