Patricia Iglesias Peco's paintings and sculptures hover between figuration and abstraction. Peco dares to move from long, sweeping gestures and an abundant use of watery oil, which brings out harmonious colours, to the use of sharp, saturated punctuations in short brushstrokes. Her paintings are naturally radiant yet charged with a mysterious darkness, as in her series of floral paintings.
