Biography

Roger White is a versatile artist who is actively involved in both painting and writing. He is also renowned for co-founding the prestigious art journal, Paper Monument. At the core of White's artistic practice lies his exploration of the ordinary aspects of life and the subjective experience of time and space that accompanies them. He proposes that the images depicted in his paintings serve as components of an indirect narrative that captures the essence of the present moment. However, White takes this exploration further by delving into the realm of objects that ultimately find their way to landfills, which offers a nuanced contemplation of the transient nature of material possessions and their cultural significance. ...
