Rosario Aninat and Simon Shim-Sutcliffe collaborate to create sculptural and installation-based works that explore the material and symbolic residues of modern infrastructure. Their practice focuses on the collapse and decay of industrial systems—such as oil fields, pipelines, highways, and urban ruins—highlighting how these vast networks shape both landscapes and bodies. Through layered, immersive environments, they investigate the tension between human-made structures and natural processes, reflecting on fragility, transformation, and entropy. Their work often incorporates found materials and architectural fragments, constructing spaces that evoke both physical presence and psychological resonance.
