Seroj Barseghian’s paintings are distinct in the continuous deconstruction of the artist's subjects into colourful strips. Such a strong style makes his works instantly recognisable. The brightness of depicted fields, landscapes, portraits, silhouettes and abstract shapes is pierced through by organic patterns of Barseghian’s strips. They form the basis of the works as much, if not more, as the fundamental elements of painting, such as colour, texture, shape, line.
