Ivan Gallery, established in 2007, emerged as a private initiative within Romania’s then-nascent contemporary art landscape. From the outset, the gallery has championed both established and emerging voices from Romania and Eastern Europe. Its early program featured renowned figures such as Geta Brătescu, Paul Neagu, Lia Perjovschi, and more recently, Ion Grigorescu, while also introducing a new generation of artists, including collaborative pairs Silvia Amancei & Bogdan Armanu, Anca Benera & Arnold Estefan, as well as solo practitioners like Cristina David, Ștefan Sava, and Iulia Toma.
