Ju Young Kim trained at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich under the mentorship of Olaf Nicolai. Her sculptural and installation-based practice examines states of transition—between places, identities, and temporalities—by merging industrial transport components with traditional craft techniques. She has held solo exhibitions at Kunsthalle Mannheim (2025) and max goelitz, Munich (2024). Her group exhibitions include the Singapore Biennale (forthcoming) and Kunsthalle Recklinghausen (2023). She was awarded Bayerischer Kunstförderpreis (2025) and Oberbayerischer Förderpreis für Angewandte Kunst (2022).
