Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This vibrant abstract painting showcases a dynamic interplay of colors and textures. Dominated by a rich, earthy palette of browns and blues, the canvas is filled with bold, expressive brushstrokes that create a sense of movement and energy. Prominent features include the distinctive yellow frame-like structure and the striking contrast between the chaotic, textured areas and the more fluid, organic forms. The artist's distinctive style and technique suggest a focus on capturing the emotive and subjective experience of the creative process rather than a literal representation. This work likely reflects the artist's intention to evoke a deeply personal and introspective response from the viewer. ...

Anh Trần
1989

Anh Trần (b. 1989, Bến Tre, Vietnam) is based in Berlin. Trần’s painting experimentations consist of immersive representations, operating autobiographically within her own displacements. From her departure to Europe from Vietnam, after a decade spent in New Zealand, she developed abstraction as a response to historical academic restrictions - structured around Socialist Realism - by encompassing bold brushstrokes, expressive colors, layers, impasto, and collage. While living a diasporic experience, her aesthetic language underlines her interest in the linguistic differences between Western and South-Eastern countries’ artistic methods, in their closeness to situated political strategies. ...

Société is a Berlin-based gallery with an international profile—its core operations lay in Europe, the United States, and Asia. The gallery’s exhibitions, publications, and boundary-pushing initiatives have established a vital dialogue among artists working internationally. Société focuses on establishing long-term, symbiotic relationships with its gallery artists, many of whom had their first solo exhibition with the gallery. The structure of the gallery’s program and the format of its projects is an artist-led approach that responds to the ever-evolving conditions of artistic research and production—at times even pushing beyond traditional exhibition formats. Although differing in media and approach, Société’s artists address the relationship between cultural production and consumption, the circulation of information, identity, and cultural history in an era highly mediated by technology. The gallery's publishing initiative Edition Société, has worked with accomplished graphic designers on a number of acclaimed artist's books. The gallery has additionally produced 12" records with several contemporary musicians.
