Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

Bianca Bondi's "Bloom (Vanilla Oxide III)" features a delicate composition of organic shapes and subtle hues of blue and beige, highlighted by crystalline and coral-like forms. The arrangement evokes a sense of natural decay and regeneration, with starfish and plant-like structures emerging from a central focal point. Bondi employs an immersive, almost mystical style, blending chemistry and occult influences to capture the fragility and interconnection of ecosystems. This piece is a reflective exploration of rebirth and the latent energies within natural elements, underscoring the need for an ecological and holistic perspective on life. ...

Rejecting any hierarchy between the human and the non-human, the visible and the non-visible, the artist explores in a continuous flow of metamorphoses the macro and microscopic relationships we have with our environment. The artist calls our attention to the fragility of the ecosystem of which we are a part, highlighting the importance of an ecological and holistic mindframe for the continuation of human life. Bianca Bondi uses both chemistry and the occult sciences to question our representations and reconsider our notions of rituals and beliefs, of cycles with an emphasis on rebirth and regeneration . The artist experiments with specifically chosen natural elements to examine what intrinsic properties, or “energy”, by diverse cultures they are said to possess, and how this energy can be channeled and eventually activated. The artist’s approach unfolds in monumental and immersive site specific installations as well as in two-dimensional works and sculptural installations. ...

They work with a mix of young and mid-career artists, both Mexican and international. With whom they work closely and assume an active role in the projects they develop. The work of these artists address topics such as value and exchange; economic systems and social structures; the exploitation of natural resources, the ethics of human behaviour, and the hidden political structures of society. ...
