His approach highlights the tension between familiarity and strangeness, prompting a heightened awareness of spatial dynamics and human interaction within them. A central aspect of his practice is the engagement with domestic and everyday environments as artistic laboratories. By transforming ordinary settings through subtle interventions, he emphasizes the fluid boundaries between daily life and art, revealing overlooked patterns, structures, and rhythms. Thun combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary materials, merging historical techniques and modern sensibilities to create work that is both tactile and conceptually rigorous.
