Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This vibrant painting depicts a lush, tropical jungle scene. The composition is filled with an array of organic shapes and vivid colors, including deep greens, warm browns, and splashes of orange and purple. The artist employs a bold, expressive brushwork style, creating a dynamic and almost chaotic visual experience. The subject matter appears to be a fantastical, dreamlike interpretation of a dense, primordial forest, hinting at the artist's intention to capture the raw, primal energy of the natural world. This artwork likely reflects the artist's fascination with the beauty and complexity of the natural landscape. ...

Artist
Irakli Bugiani
B.1980, Georgian

Irakli Bugiani’s paintings delve into the interplay between memory, identity, and the remnants of the Soviet era. His works often depict architectural interiors and exteriors devoid of human presence, employing abstract imagery with rough strokes of oil on canvas. This approach leaves an impression of an unfinished process, inviting viewers to engage with the layers of history and personal recollection embedded in each piece. Through his art, Bugiani explores the boundaries between fiction and historical fact, reflecting on the impact of past events on individual and collective memory. His use of collage techniques, incorporating old and new photographs and texts, adds depth to his exploration of social, scientific, and political contexts. The visible process on the canvas becomes a crucial aspect of his work, emphasizing the act of creation as a means of understanding and interpreting the world. Bugiani's paintings serve as a meditative journey, enabling viewers to explore new dimensions and realities, and offering a fresh perspective on our perception of the world. By showcasing the struggle between the natural landscape and the man-made world, his art provides a thought-provoking experience that resonates with the complexities of contemporary life. ...

Gallery Artbeat
Tbilisi

Gallery Artbeat is a pioneering contemporary art gallery based in Tbilisi, Georgia representing mid-career and emerging Georgian artists. Between 2014-2017 the gallery started its journey as a project space, a moving gallery using a shipping container for site-specific exhibitions to introduce contemporary art in peripheral locations where museums and galleries don't function. In October 2017 the gallery found it's permanent home in the heart of Tbilisi. The gallery has a significant presence on the international art scene, collaborating with major institutions and museums and taking part in art fairs such as NADA Miami, Untitled Miami, Art Dubai, Artissima, Art Cologne. Our aim is to support artists throughout their artistic journeys, foster cultural activities both locally and abroad, collaborate with international galleries and organisations and mark Georgia on an international art map. ...
