Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This sculptural artwork features a striking juxtaposition of materials and forms. The visual elements include the dominant black, curved shape and the contrasting golden, organic forms. The overall composition has a surreal, almost biomechanical quality. The subject matter appears to depict a distorted, hybrid creature, blending human and machine elements. The artistic style and technique showcase the artist's skilled manipulation of diverse materials, creating a visually compelling and thought-provoking piece. The context suggests this work may explore themes of technology, transformation, and the complex relationship between the natural and artificial worlds. ...

Artist
Ana Gzirishvili
B.1992, Georgian

Gzirishvili’s experimental practice spans installation, sculpture, film, CGI, poetry, and reading performances. She explores the liminal spaces and juncture points between beings, places, and objects, as well as between material and immaterial realms. Often, Gzirishvili’s work draws from themes such as transitionality, circulation, and displacement. By disassembling and reassembling objects and contexts both physically and intangibly, Ana observes the entanglements, incongruences, and hybrid forms that emerge from these interactions. ...

Tbilisi

Gallery Artbeat is a pioneering contemporary art gallery based in Tbilisi, Georgia representing mid-career and emerging Georgian artists. Between 2014-2017 the gallery started its journey as a project space, a moving gallery using a shipping container for site-specific exhibitions to introduce contemporary art in peripheral locations where museums and galleries don't function. In October 2017 the gallery found it's permanent home in the heart of Tbilisi. The gallery has a significant presence on the international art scene, collaborating with major institutions and museums and taking part in art fairs such as NADA Miami, Untitled Miami, Art Dubai, Artissima, Art Cologne. Our aim is to support artists throughout their artistic journeys, foster cultural activities both locally and abroad, collaborate with international galleries and organisations and mark Georgia on an international art map. ...
