Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork features a single, long, thin branch suspended horizontally in the air, creating a minimalist and elegant composition. The use of natural materials, such as the weathered wooden branch, lends the piece an organic and simplistic quality. The stark white background allows the branch to stand out, highlighting its inherent form and texture. The artist's intention seems to be exploring the sculptural and conceptual possibilities of a found natural object, emphasizing its inherent beauty and functional properties in an abstract, almost metaphysical manner. ...

Historical research and literature, specifically the writings of Herman Melville, William Faulkner and Thomas Bernard, form the spine of Beasley’s artistic practice. She extracts fragments, visual ‘images’ from her literary sources – by nature non-visual – articulating them through the forms of sculpture, installation, text and photography. Beasley can extrapolate the politics of the everyday and the limits of language from her literary references, investigating the complexities and ambiguities, transparencies and opacities that form the human and its experiences. ...
