Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork showcases a striking urban scene, with its vivid colors and distorted reflections creating a sense of fragmentation and disorientation. The composition combines geometric shapes, mirrored surfaces, and the cityscape, blending the natural and the artificial. The artist's distinctive technique of using reflective elements challenges the viewer's perception of reality, inviting them to contemplate the interplay between the physical and the ephemeral. This piece reflects the complexities and fast-paced nature of modern city life, capturing the essence of contemporary urban experience. ...

1986

Bo Choy (b. 1986, Hong Kong) is a Hong Kong-born, London-based artist working across film, performance and sound. She received a BA from Chelsea College of Art, and MA from Slade School of Art. She uses fiction, music, writing and costumes as artistic devices. Often borrowing aesthetic tropes from Far Eastern folklore traditions and rituals, her use of costumes and fiction results in works that merge the everyday with the fantastical, the mythological and sometimes the absurd. Selected screenings, performances and exhibitions include BNC21, South London Gallery (London, 2022); I Could Not Recall How I Got Here, Tabula Rasa Gallery (London, 2021); Bloomberg New Contemporaries, First Site (Colchester, 2021); Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival (Hawick, 2021); VII Moscow International Biennale for Young Art (Moscow, 2020); Kasseler DokFest (Kassel, 2020); Tomorrow: London, White Cube Online Exhibition, Platform1, Bloomsbury Theatre (London, 2020); Intimacy Spills, Barbican Arts Trust (London, 2020); Gathering 1, Sanmei Gallery (London, 2020); Mascara Film Club (London, 2019); Manége (Trekorner Fort, 2019); A/WA session, Auto-Italia (London, 2018); and the 6th Thessaloniki Biennale (Thessaloniki, 2017/18). ...

Tabula Rasa Gallery
London

Tabula Rasa Gallery is based in Beijing's 798 art district. Established in 2015, it aims to promote both Chinese and international contemporary artists through exhibitions, talks, research and publication. The gallery name is Latin for 'blank state'. In philosophical discourse, it refers to the idea that our knowledge comes from our experiences and education, all participants are born in a Tabula Rasa state. Tabula Rasa hopes that the exhibitions they present can subvert viewers’ preconceptions, creating conditions for fresh artistic experiments.
