Boris Camaca is a Parisian artist who previously established a career as a leading fashion photographer and art director. A regular contributor to magazines such as Tank, Vogue, Crash and Masses – as well as the co- founder of Télévision magazine – Camaca’s work revolves around a singular, discernible aesthetics that combines heavy saturation of colours, humorous styling and an extensive use of narration. In his photographs, Camaca stages minute visual scenarios that investigate processes of identity formation via reflections on self-representation, gender fluidity and the economy of images. Through the confluence of enigmatic characters and improbable settings, Camaca creates eerie, uncanny scenes through which he critically addresses the social and political questions of our time. ...

NıCOLETTı is a London-based gallery committed to supporting the development of emerging artists. Founded in 2018 as an itinerant curatorial project, the gallery opened its first permanent space in 2019. NıCOLETTı’s programme focuses on researching and supporting emerging artists in the realization of institutional projects and museum presentations. Many of the artists represented by the gallery have held their first UK solo exhibition at NıCOLETTı and have subsequently exhibited in prominent international institutions and biennials.
