Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The composition is composed of an intricate grid-like pattern, with a mix of square and circular shapes in shades of green, pink, and white. The overall effect is one of delicate balance and harmonious interplay between the various elements. The artist's distinctive technique of layered, semi-transparent forms creates a sense of depth and movement within the static, two-dimensional surface. Cici Wu is a Beijing-born and New York-based multi-medium artist who is known for her diverse and unconventional approach to art. She explores the relationship between the tools and machines we use, such as lanterns, stepper motor, belt, pulley, light sensor, and the ways in which our experiences are influenced by subtle interactions between language, memory, rituals, societal structures and emotions. Being influenced by the supernatural, she often combines different mediums such as drawing, film projection and sculpture to create surreal, dream-like installations that blend the human and the non-human. In her drawings, Wu incorporates traditional techniques and imagery that draw inspiration from Japanese woodblock prints. Through the use of ink, mineral pigments, and glue on Japanese paper, her work creates an emotional and symbolic connection between the viewer and the various subjects. ...
