Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This contemporary artwork features a striking monochromatic composition of multiple figures marching in a uniform procession. The artist has used a technique of layering and silhouetting to create the ghostly, almost spectral appearance of the figures, rendered in shades of white against a muted grey background. The subject matter evokes a sense of anonymity and conformity, with the figures appearing interchangeable and devoid of individual identities. The artist's intention seems to be a commentary on the dehumanizing aspects of mass movements and the loss of individuality within larger social structures. ...

Huda Lutfi
Artist
Huda Lutfi
B.1947, Egyptian

Egyptian artist Huda Lutfi’s practice is greatly informed by her career as a cultural historian, and is concerned specifically with the investigation of how cultural remnants, history, traditions and bricolage relate to the contemporary moment. Lutfi works in painting, collage and installation, employs political insignia and slogans, and borrows from traditional styles ranging from Islamic to the pharaonic.
