Lounis Baouche

Lounis Baouche was, in 2017, the recipient of the Jury’s Favorite Young Painter Award at the Société Générale Algeria Awards. Through allegorical characters and an aesthetic influenced by comic books and cartoons, his work questions human social relationships and the power dynamics intertwined with them. According to the artist, his work often looks like a messy child’s room, with recurring motifs that invite the absurd.

Exo Exo is a community of artists and the result of creative work and reflection around the emerging art scene. Founded in 2013 by Antoine Donzeaud and Elisa Rigoulet, in Antoine Donzeaud's studio in Paris, Exo Exo has established itself in France and internationally as a diverse project, a space and a program dedicated to the production and exhibition of emerging artists. The duo emphasizes the organic nature of their work, the importance of encounters and spontaneity, which are central to their commitment and approach.
