Claude Eigan’s practice centers on the concept of constant change and the instability that permeates all systems and beings. Working primarily through sculpture and installation, he investigates bodies—their fragility, inevitable decline, and the environments they occupy. Eigan transforms everyday, familiar objects into vessels for alternative narratives, stripping them of sensationalism to focus on their symbolic power. Drawing on science fiction-inspired processes, he manipulates and recontextualizes these objects, altering their scale and complexity by infusing them with corporeal elements. These hybrid creations unveil subversive counter-histories, often reflecting moments drawn from Eigan’s personal experience. His recent works emphasize the memory of LGBTQIA+ social spaces—their overlooked histories and vital significance amidst ongoing threats—highlighting the importance of preserving these communal sites. ...

DS Galerie is a contemporary art gallery based in Paris. After six years of being a nomad curatorial project (2016–2022), Double Séjour has now become DS Galerie, implemented in Paris and fully metamorphosing into a gallery. The gallery represents and invites French and international artists, mainly from the emerging scene. DS Galerie takes part in international fairs such as Art-O-Rama (Marseille), Paris Photo (FR) and Material (MEX).
