Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork features a striking contrast between the vibrant blue sky and the stark black and white elements. The composition is dominated by a series of vertical white shapes that resemble abstract columns or rock formations, rising up against the dark background. The overall effect is one of minimalism and geometric simplicity, with the artist employing a limited color palette and precise, geometric forms. The work appears to explore themes of landscape and natural elements, though in an abstracted and conceptual manner. The artist's intention may be to challenge viewers' perceptions of space, scale, and the relationship between the natural and the man-made. ...

B.1993

Dony Cheng Hung (b. 1993) lives and works in Hong Kong. Dony holds a BA in Fine Arts and an MFA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Predominantly works with acrylic and charcoal, Dony transforms familiar sights of cityscape into simple blocks of monotone colour with various shades, exploring the subtle variations. Often inspired by daily sceneries in her neighbourhood, the everyday objects are teleported to an alienated and unfamiliar background, juxtaposing the reality with the imagined. In recent years, her endeavours extend into installation and moving images, immersing into the artificial landscape in a three-dimensional space. She was awarded Fresh Trend Art Award in 2020 and the Grotto Fine Art’s Creative Award in 2017. ...
