Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This abstract artwork features a dark, monochromatic background with delicate, wispy lines in shades of green and yellow. The composition suggests a field of grass or foliage, with the lines creating a sense of movement and energy against the stark, black backdrop. The artist's use of minimalist shapes and subdued colors evokes a meditative, contemplative mood, inviting the viewer to experience the tranquility and mystery of the natural world. While the precise intention behind the piece is unclear, the artwork's evocative and atmospheric qualities suggest a poetic exploration of the interplay between light, shadow, and the ephemeral beauty of the natural landscape. ...

Artist
Fabien Conti

In an expansive series of paintings, Fabien Conti renders imagery depicting natural disasters. These disasters encompass wildfires, melting glaciers, volcanic eruptions, and storms. Amidst the very turmoil of destruction, Conti discerns a sublime and poetic essence that defies the prevailing chaos. Employing a nuanced interplay of color and texture, Conti endeavors to evoke the very essence of the landscapes he portrays. Each vista unfolds within the backdrop of the Anthropocene era, marked by its formidable environmental challenges. Conti's artistic trajectory echoes that of German Romanticism, a historical movement whose thematic explorations continue to astonish with their enduring pertinence. Through his intricate choreography of lines and interwoven textures, Conti embarks upon a quest to detach from the trappings of reality. This endeavor leads him to an immersive realm of passive impressions, characterized by an absence of explicit narrative. Within this artistic space, color assumes a role of paramount significance, functioning as a bridge to capture the elusive "peaceful sentiment of the sublime." This sentiment, closely associated with themes of solitude, absence, and mortality, finds resonance with the perspectives articulated by figures like Goethe. ...

mor charpentier
Paris, Bogotá

Established in Paris since 2010, mor charpentier represents both emerging and well-established artists whose conceptual practices are anchored in social realities, history and the politics of contrasting geographic regions. By promoting international practices, the gallery aims to broaden the knowledge of crucial debates of the present. A significant inaugural show with Colombian master, Oscar Muñoz, fulfilled a void in the French artistic scene by broadening the spectrum of origins, subjects and identities in the art market. Ever since, a growing number of major international artists have joined the gallery. Coming from different generations and global backgrounds, they all share a commitment to either political, feminist, post-colonial, queer or human rights causes. Amongst them are Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Teresa Margolles, Chen Ching-Yuan, Liliana Porter, Bouchra Khalili, Carlos Motta, Hajra Waheed, and more. Equal gender representation and diversity is also part of the gallery goals, with half of the represented artists being women. In 2021 mor charpentier opened a second exhibition space in Bogotá. This expansion was driven to expand the reach of the gallery program to new publics and encourage artists to explore new territories. It consolidated a long-term bond with the Latin American art scene and the international projection of the gallery. ...
