Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork features a stack of gray rectangular objects, resembling books or notebooks, supported by a wooden stand. Atop the stack, a circular wooden object with protruding red and white elements is placed, creating an intriguing contrast between the geometric and organic forms. The overall composition employs a minimalist aesthetic, with the neutral colors and clean lines highlighting the interplay of shapes and materials. The artist's intention may be to explore the relationship between literature, craftsmanship, and the integration of natural elements, suggesting a conceptual commentary on the intersection of intellectual and artistic pursuits. ...

Artist
Genesis Belanger
1978 , American

Absent bodies are present through pastel-toned twisted hands holding mouths, eyes landing in soup, fingers sprouting from bouquets of flowers, burgers, beauty products and half-smoked cigarettes. Bridging Pop art and Surrealism, Belanger’s objects and scenes narrate capitalist myths, with symbols of contemporary culture presented as seducing and uncanny. Satisfying in their smooth shapes and tender colour, the artist’s works translate the dissatisfaction and anxiety caused by consumerist culture and its power structures.
