Hunter Longe
Hunter Longe studies the intersections of geological time, material transformation, and speculative narratives. Through a multidisciplinary approach, he examines how materials—both natural and synthetic—embody histories and potential futures. Central to his work is the concept of "deep time," where he juxtaposes ancient geological formations with contemporary materials to create works that evoke both the past and speculative possibilities for the future. Longe often employs materials such as fossilized organisms, minerals, and thermo-sensitive plastics, integrating them into his artworks to highlight the interconnectedness of life, death, and transformation. By manipulating these materials, he creates objects and environments that reflect on the cyclical nature of existence and the passage of time. His work challenges conventional perceptions of time and matter, offering a contemplative space where the boundaries between the organic, the synthetic, and the speculative blur. ...
Hunter Longe: Artworks
LambdaLambdaLambda was founded in 2015 in Prishtina (Kosovo) by Isabella Ritter and Katharina Schendl.
