Ivana Bašić’s work concentrates on the ways the human body and matter are affected by vulnerability and transformation. Employing a broad range of mediums (wax, oil paint glass, alabaster, steel, among others) and interspersing these with different techniques and nonmaterial concepts, from breath, to pressure, to rigidity, her sculptural pieces are imbued with a posthuman trait.
