In 2020, Mitty shifted her focus from themes of decay and decadence to creating paintings that capture joyful and picturesque memories. Using the fast-paced technique of wet-into-wet painting, which involves pouring paint onto a wet surface, these images emerge from a state of constant potential change. Mitty's idyllic landscapes aim to preserve a fleeting moment of peace that too often gives way to the uncertainty of the future of these places.
