Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork features a vibrant, collage-like composition with a dominant red poppy flower at the center. The background is a mix of bold, gestural brushstrokes in shades of green, purple, and blue, creating a sense of movement and energy. The flower is rendered with attention to detail, contrasting with the abstract, expressive elements surrounding it. The layering of various materials and techniques, including painting, drawing, and collage, suggests an experimental and multifaceted approach to the artwork. This visually striking piece likely reflects the artist's exploration of the relationship between realism and abstraction in contemporary art. ...

Marc Prats' paintings turn our focus to the anthropoid consequences of social media dependency. Having been born just before the turn of the century, Prats addresses the nostalgic sensibilities of his generation. Prats critiques the alluring and addictive facets of internet culture by subverting their mechanisms from within. Projecting the remote and fragmented language of social media directly onto the canvas, in the act of painting, he wills into existence surreal visual cacophonies. By, for example, playing with the textures of spray paint and glitter impasto, Prats subverts the dark undertones of our digital reality. In 2019, Prats was shortlisted for the Signature Art Prize. Two years later, he won the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant. ...
